Construction of Renovation Components
Implementing an in-situ remediation project requires precisely engineered remediation elements that are tailored exactly to the hydrogeological conditions, the distribution of contaminants, and the structural conditions of the specific site. Sensatec plans, manufactures, and installs these elements in-house—from injection lances to circulation wells. This ensures that active agents, gases, and fluids are introduced into the subsurface reliably, in a controlled manner, and with the necessary precision—even under challenging geological and operational conditions.
Construction of Pressure-Resistant Injection Lances
For the targeted application of solid and liquid active ingredients, we use pressure-resistant injection lances that operate reliably and without leakage even at high injection pressures. The lances are precisely inserted into the soil horizons to be treated directly via the probing rig—based on preliminary MIP probing. This allows for the rapid establishment of numerous injection points and levels without placing unnecessary stress on the subsurface.
Installation of Multilevel Gas Injection Lances
In the case of multilayer or heterogeneous aquifers, gas injection at different depths is required. Our multilevel gas injection lances enable the targeted injection of oxygen or other gases at multiple levels—each controllable independently—within a single well. This allows the gas distribution to be precisely tailored to the stratification of the aquifer and the location of the contaminant plume—ensuring an efficient and uniform supply of oxygen in the subsurface.
Construction of Groundwater Circulation Wells
Groundwater circulation wells create a controlled circulation system through which active agents are distributed throughout the aquifer or contaminants are mobilized and treated. We design and construct these well systems on a case-by-case basis according to the site’s hydraulic conditions to ensure uniform flow through the relevant groundwater zone and to measurably accelerate the success of the remediation.
Pressure-resistant, oxidant-resistant fluid delivery systems
When using chemical oxidizing agents, high pressures and aggressive reaction products place special demands on the technology employed. Our fluid injection systems are specifically designed to withstand these conditions: They are pressure-resistant and resistant to oxidative media, ensuring safe and reliable operation even in demanding ISCO applications.
